Afeef Hussain is a keynote speaker, executive coach and hospitality leader from the Maldives. For more than 16 years, he has helped leaders and organisations grow by putting their people first, because he believes great service begins with great teams.

His journey has taken him from the Maldives to Malaysia, Singapore and the Middle East, working with world-class hospitality brands along the way. Today, he is Senior Director at LUX* Resorts & Hotels, where he leads Human Capital and Quality Management and shapes the culture behind the guest experience.

Afeef has spoken to audiences in 12 countries, from Singapore and Hong Kong to the United Kingdom and the United States. In 2026 alone, he delivered the closing keynote at the 5th Civil Service Conference in the Maldives, led a panel at HR Tech Asia, and spoke at the APSS Annual Convention in Singapore. His talks on leadership, service excellence and workplace culture are practical, warm and grounded in real experience.

He is a certified coach and the Maldives Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team, and a coach in Marshall Goldsmith’s Stakeholder Centered Coaching programme. He is also a builder of communities: a founding member and former President of the Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP), and Co-Founder of MPSA.

His work has been recognised around the world. He was the first Maldivian named among the 100 Most Influential Global HR Professionals by the World HRD Congress, and twice received the Global Training and Development Leadership Award in Mumbai. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School Executive Education.
