Afeef Hussain Leads Panel Discussion at HR Tech Asia 2026 in Singapore on Workforce Transformation

Singapore, 2026 – Afeef Hussain, Senior Director at LUX* Resorts & Hotels, international keynote speaker and executive coach, led a panel discussion at HR Tech Asia 2026 in Singapore, exploring how organisations can translate strategic vision into effective workforce transformation.

Titled “From Strategy to Execution: Making Workforce Transformation Stick,” the discussion brought together industry leaders to examine the leadership capabilities, employee engagement and organisational culture required to make transformation initiatives successful and sustainable.

The panel featured Ozge Yurtsever, HR Head, Southeast Asia at Ferring Pharmaceuticals; Eveliene Wittjes, Founder and CEO of I-Dentity; and Koljit Singh, MIHRM Council Member, Vice President of Culture Transformation and Projects at FGV Holdings Berhad. The conversation explored the challenges organisations face when moving from transformation strategies to meaningful changes in everyday workplace practices.

Reflecting on the discussion, Afeef highlighted five key principles that can help organisations make workforce transformation stick.

1. Transformation begins with awareness

Before implementing change, organisations must help employees understand why transformation is necessary. Clear communication of purpose can encourage participation and reduce resistance.

2. Leadership capability drives success

Effective transformation requires leaders who can communicate clearly, influence teams and guide people through uncertainty. Leadership is demonstrated through everyday actions, particularly during challenging periods.

3. People turn data into results

Metrics, dashboards and progress reviews are valuable for measuring transformation. However, sustainable execution depends on employees feeling engaged and taking ownership of the change.

4. Culture develops through everyday behaviours

Organisational culture is shaped by daily conversations, decisions and actions. Consistent behaviours across teams are essential to translating transformation goals into lasting organisational change.

5. Growth requires opportunities to stretch

Employees develop when they are trusted with greater responsibility, exposed to new challenges and equipped with the right tools. Adaptability and the willingness to learn are essential to sustaining long-term transformation.

The discussion was also captured in a visual art summary by Tim Hamons, presenting the key insights from the 60-minute conversation in a visual format.
One message captured the central theme of the discussion: “People make it happen.”

While strategy establishes direction, successful transformation depends on the people responsible for bringing that strategy to life. By building awareness, strengthening leadership, encouraging ownership and embedding the right behaviours into organisational culture, businesses can create more meaningful and lasting change.

Afeef’s participation at HR Tech Asia 2026 reflects his continued engagement with leadership development, workforce transformation and service excellence, helping organisations and professionals explore practical approaches to leadership and organisational growth.
